Fiberglass resurfacing in Perth
Fiberglass resurfacing
If your pool is more than 20 years old and haven’t been renovated yet, or if the pool has bubbles or black spots on the surface, you will need a full renovation.

Resurfacing a fiberglass pool takes a 6 step process:
- Preparation -Propping and emptying the pool. Covering the pool with tarps, to minimize the dust blowing in your backyard. Taking the old gelcoat off, using angle grinders. Dust will be vacuumed in the end of the day. Before any resin is applied on the surface, the whole pool will be cleaned with acetone, to get the best bond.Patching areas where the old fiberglass is thin or rotten.
- Resin application- A vinyl ester bonding layer is rolled on to the surface.
- Fiberglass matting - 225gsm fiberglass matting is applied to create a new shell, which is later sanded smooth.
- Fill coat - Fill coat is used to fill any imperfections and to create a perfect bond between the new fiberglass and top coat.
- Top coat- Gelcoat is applied. After 24 hours, the pool is ready for filling. Can provide new jets and a stylish 12v LED light which gives the backyard a whole new look at night.
- All rubbish will be removed from site.
Average size pool will cost around $5500
